An Installation by Maura Sheehan
In the Plus/Space
Maura Sheehan is an installation artist and educator who experiments with a wide variety of materials that result in environments, sculptures and drawings. At FiveMyles she brings a flock of balancing birds to create a Tableau Vivant, a living picture.
She has exhibited locally and in Ireland, Spain, and Iceland. She complements her art practice by hosting community art programs that are focused on the local children as a way of making her work more accessible and relevant to the wider community.
Thursday through Sunday, 1pm to 6pm; or by appointment.
Take 2, 3, or 4 trains to Franklin Avenue. Walk two blocks against the traffic on Franklin. Walk ¾ block to 558 St. Johns Place. FiveMyles is within easy walking distance from the Brooklyn Museum.
